- It's two in the morning, and you're searching Google for a Goethe exam date. Every page says fully booked. You have ten tabs open, and your WhatsApp group says the seats are gone again.
- I'm Uday, the founder of BookGermanTest. We bring German exam dates together in one place. Goethe, telc, ÖSD, ECL and TestDaF, plus TestAS, onSET and dMAT, across 17 countries. And in Germany: DSH, telc C1 Hochschule, the PKT for doctors and the Kenntnisprüfung for nurses. Right now that's over 1,700 open exam dates, and more than 128,000 alerts sent. All of it free.
- First, find your date. Every open date sits in one table. Type a city, an exam or a level in the search box, or tap a quick filter like B1 or Goethe. Need more? Open Filters, and narrow it down by exam, level, country, city, date and format, or show only dates found in the last 24 hours. Goethe, B1, Bangalore. A green dot means it's open. Or open one page for your city and your level, and see every date in order.
- Next, know before you book. Each date has its own page, with the exam date, the booking deadline, the format and the centre. Goethe and TestDaF open booking on a set day, so you get a countdown to the exact time it opens. You also get tips for your city, like Chennai or Pune as a backup for Bangalore. And if your city has nothing open, you see real dates nearby instead. When you're ready, one click takes you to the provider's official page. You always book directly with them.
- It's not only language exams. For TestAS and onSET, you see how many seats are free at each centre, and when registration closes. Going to Germany to study or work? The Germany page lists DSH dates from German universities, telc C1 Hochschule, the PKT and the nursing Kenntnisprüfung. Doctors also get a guide to the FSP at every medical chamber.
- Now the best part. Free alerts, in two steps. Type your email. Then pick what to watch: your country, your exams, your cities and your levels. Choose a few, or any. No account, no password. You see exactly what you're watching, and a welcome email confirms it.
- So what lands in your inbox? For Goethe and TestDaF, a heads up 24 hours before booking opens, another one an hour before, and one when it's open. For ÖSD, telc, ECL and the others, an email when a new date appears, or when a seat comes back on a full date. Every alert shows the provider, level, city and date, with a button straight to the booking page. Several dates at once arrive as one digest, not ten emails.
- Want to change something? Type your email and we send you a link. Switch from B1 to B2, add a city, or pause your alerts during your exam month. Every email has a one click unsubscribe.
- On Telegram? New dates are posted on our public channel too. And when everything is booked out, our guide shows you how to still find a date.
- So stop refreshing. Find your date, and let the alerts come to you. It's free. Get your free alerts on bookgermantest.com.

Just enter your email and optionally select your preferred country, city, and exam level. WhatsApp alerts are an optional paid pass: ₹399 in India or $4.99 elsewhere for 30 days. Nothing renews on its own.
How do I get free exam slot alerts?
Simply enter your email address on our website to subscribe to free alerts. You can optionally select your preferred city and exam level (A1-C2) to receive personalized notifications. We will email you when a scheduled check finds a matching slot.
What German exam level do I need for Ausbildung?
Most Ausbildung (vocational training) programs in Germany require B1 level German certification. Some technical or nursing programs may require B2. The B1 certificate proves you can understand and communicate on familiar matters related to work, school, and daily life.
Which countries does BookGermanTest cover?
BookGermanTest covers 17 countries across 5 regions: South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal), Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines), Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey), Africa (Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia), and Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Georgia). India has the most exam centers with 13+ Goethe cities.
How long does it take to get German exam results?
Results timing varies by provider: Goethe-Institut takes 4-6 weeks, telc takes 6-8 weeks, ÖSD is fastest at 3-4 weeks, and ECL takes 4-6 weeks. Digital certificates are usually available before physical copies.
What is the difference between Goethe and telc exams?
Both are internationally recognized. Goethe-Institut is the official German cultural institute with certificates valid for life and recognized globally. telc (The European Language Certificates) is a European standard, also lifetime valid and widely accepted. Goethe is more recognized for university admission, while telc is popular for professional purposes.
Which German exam is required for spouse visa to Germany?
For a spouse/family reunion visa to Germany, you typically need A1 level German certification. This basic level proves you can understand and use familiar everyday expressions. Goethe, telc, ÖSD and ECL A1 certificates are all accepted by German authorities.
When will I get an alert?
Alerts follow scheduled checks of the official booking pages. When a check finds a new date, a seat that came back or a booking window about to open that matches your preferences, we email you a direct booking link.
